Honey Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup pure honey
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a bowl mix flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl whisk butter, honey and eggs.
  4. Add vanilla extract and milk.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients with the wet mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool before slicing.
